The challenge
Our team is uniquely positioned to work across Vimeo’s product, connecting the dots between features and journeys. Unlike traditional squads focused on a single area, we see the product as a whole. We focus on the user’s perspective — every step, every interaction — to ensure that even the smallest task is seamless and intuitive. By actively identifying broken experiences and guiding fixes, we help teams prioritize improvements that truly matter to users.
Research
Through our ongoing work, we discovered that many users experience Vimeo not as isolated features, but as continuous journeys across multiple areas of the product. Uploading, sharing, embedding, and collaborating are all interconnected, yet friction in one area can ripple through the entire experience. Traditional squad-focused thinking often misses these interdependencies. By studying how users navigate multiple product eras and features, we uncover pain points that no single team sees, revealing opportunities to improve core journeys in real time.
